Burg O Bar is a creative learning platform founded by seasoned Urdu educator Ms. Unsia Bano, aimed at reviving the charm of Urdu literature among children. محترمہ انسیہ بانو تقریباً ۳۰ سال سے درس و تدریس سے وابستہ ہیں۔ اردو کی ٹیچر کی حیثیت سے ملک کے بڑے اور نامور اسکولوں میں تدریس کے فرائض انجام دیئےہیں جیسے کہ بیکن ہاؤس، دی ایجوکیٹر اور دی سائنس اسکول۔ تدریس کے شعبے کے علاوہ انتظامی امور کا تجربہ بھی رہا اور پھر کہانیاں لکھنے کا موقع بھی ملا۔۰۰ ۲۰ء میں بیکن ہاؤس میں اُردُو مطالعاتی نصاب (امن) کےایک گروپ کی ممبر کی حیثیت سے کے جی سے پرائمری جماعت تک کے لئے کہانیاں لکھنی شروع کیں ۔قریباً دو دہائیوں سے ’امن ‘کے نام سے بیکن ہاؤس میں یہ ریڈرز پڑھائی جا رہی ہیں۔پھر دی ایجوکیٹراسکول میں کے جی سے لے کر اٹھویں جماعت تک کے لئے ’میں اور میری دنیا ‘ کے نام سے ان کے ریڈر شائع ہوئے اور آج تک نصاب میں شامل ہیں۔ اس کے بعد آکسفرڈ کے لئے اردو ٹیکسٹ بکس لکھیں جو سٹی اسکول اور سائنس اسکول میں بھی پڑھائی جا رہی ہیں۔
بچوں کا ادب ان کی پہلی ترجیح ہےمحترمہ ان کتابوں کے ذریعے اپنی ثقافت کو اگلی نسل تک پہنچا رہی ہیں ۔ اس شوق کی تکمیل کے لئے انہوں ایک ادارہ برگ و بارِ اُردُوکے نام سے شروع کیا ہے جو نونہالوں کے لئے دلچسپ رنگین کہانیاں تیار کر رہا ہے۔ ان کہانیوں کے کردار معروف الف لیلوی داستانوں سے لئے گئے ہیں اور کچھ حقیقی بھی ہیں۔ یہ انداز منفرد ہونے کی وجہ سے جلد ہی مقبول اور موثر ثابت ہوگا۔
Ms. Unsia Bano has been associated with teaching for over 30 years. As an Urdu teacher, she has taught in some of the largest and most renowned schools of the country such as Beacon House, The Educator and The Science School. In addition to the field of teaching, she has experience in administrative affairs as well. Her love of writing brought her to write interesting stories for kids. From the year 2000, she started writing stories for kids under the title of “AMN” Urdu mutaliaty nisab. This work was a collaborative effort for Beaconhouse School System. These readers have been taught at Beacon House for nearly two decades under the name ‘Peace’. Her Readers remain in the curriculum to this day. She has also written Urdu text books for Oxford which are also being taught in the City School and the Science School.
Children’s literature is her first priority, she is passing on our culture to the next generation through these books. To fulfill this objective, Burg o Bar Urdu is producing interesting colorful stories for toddlers. The characters in these stories are taken from well-known Alif Lailvi tales and some are real.

Ms. Sumaiya Ghayas is associated with the field of education. As an Urdu teacher, she has enhanced her skills through various courses to fulfill her professional responsibilities with excellence. In addition to being part of Beaconhouse’s teaching faculty for 30 years, she contributed to the development of the Urdu Studies Curriculum (AMAN) as a member of a dedicated team in 2000. Since 2018, she has been serving as an Instructional Coach, conducting both formal and informal training programs for teachers.
Besides writing stories and poems for children, she designs engaging interactive activities to foster interest and love for the Urdu language. She is also fulfilling her responsibilities as the author of Burg-O-Baar-Urdu
Nazia Mazhar is the editor-in-chief of Burg O Bar Urdu. She has also obtained the degree of MA Political Science along with MPhil in Urdu Literature. She has been associated with the teaching department for the past 19 years, working for two years in The Educators and seven years in the City School System and has been teaching O Level at The Science School DHA Campus for almost 9 years now. Story writing and drama writing is her hobby, especially stage drama. She has also had the opportunity to work with Pakistan Television in writing children’s programs.
Nikhat Zafar holds Masters Degree in English Language Teaching. Worked with Beacon House School for 16 years and taught English Language in Malaysia for 5 years. Write stories and poems. Apart from this, textbooks have also been written for Feroze Sons.
